Ingredients:
For the vanilla cake:
3 cups cake flour (or sifted all-purpose flour)
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
5 large egg whites
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk (room temperature)
For the cream cheese frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened
6 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Purple gel food coloring (or your choice of princess color)
For the decoration:
A doll (with clean plastic wrap around her legs)
Edible pearls, flowers, butterflies
Sprinkles and edible glitter
Optional: white chocolate ganache for extra drip effect

Instructions:
1. Bake the cake:
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans + 1 dome-shaped pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until very light and fluffy (about 4 minutes).
Add egg whites one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla.
Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the batter, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
Pour batter into the pans and bake 25–30 minutes (rounds) and 35–40 minutes (dome), until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool completely.
2. Make the frosting:
Beat butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
Mix in vanilla extract.
Tint with a few drops of purple gel food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
3. Assemble the princess dress:
Level the cake layers if needed.
Stack the two round cakes, then place the dome cake on top to shape the skirt.
Insert the doll into the center.
Apply a thin crumb coat of frosting and chill for 15 minutes.
4. Decorate:
Frost the entire skirt smoothly or use a piping bag fitted with a petal or rosette tip to create layers, ruffles, or flowers.
Add edible pearls, butterflies, and glitter for a magical princess finish.
