Vanilla Cake Base
250g all-purpose flour
200g granulated sugar
150g unsalted butter (softened)
4 large eggs (approx. 200g)
10g baking powder
2g salt
120ml milk (approx. 120g)
5g vanilla extract

Buttercream Frosting
250g unsalted butter (softened)
500g powdered sugar
10g vanilla extract
30ml heavy cream or milk

Fondant or Gum Paste Decorations
500g white fondant or gum paste for roses
Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake Base

-Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a heart-shaped cake pan.

-Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly.

-Stir in the vanilla extract. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually fold into the wet mixture, alternating with milk, until smooth.

-Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely.

2. Prepare the Buttercream Frosting

-Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.

-Add heavy cream and vanilla extract, whipping until fluffy.

3. Assemble and Decorate

-Apply a crumb coat of buttercream frosting to the cooled cake, refrigerate for 30 minutes, and then add a smooth final layer.

-Use fondant or gum paste to craft white roses and arrange them on top of the cake.

-Place edible pearls along the base and as accents to enhance the design.

-For a finishing touch, pipe delicate borders around the cake using the buttercream
